June Events: Department of History
In commemoration of this year’s Day of Philippine Independence, the UST Department of History held its 1st webinar entitled, “122 years of Philippine Independence” last June 15, 2020.
The said webinar featured the scholarly works of some faculty members of the department. Dr. Archie B. Resos, the current chair of the UST Department of History, presented his paper entitled From June 12, 1898 to July 4, 1946: Remnants of American Colonial and Neocolonial Impositions in the Philippines followed by the presentation of Dr. Arlene Calara’s Rebolusyong 1898-1901: Mga Pangkasaysayang Batis mula sa mga Amerikano at mga Pilipino.
Also, the Department held its 6th Online Departmental Meeting last June 24, 2020. Preparing the department and its faculty members to the new set-up of teaching and learning following the guidelines set by the University based on the new normal measures.
