About the Journal

TALA: An Online Journal of History is an open-access journal that seeks to evince and promulgate historical scholarship and engage in expansive dialogue across disciplines and facets of historical inquiry. Since 2018, the journal has published research studies and book reviews that expand contemporary historical knowledge and refine interpretations that contribute to the development of the field.

OBJECTIVES


TALA: An Online Journal of History is an open-access journal that aims to disseminate credible historical research for free by publishing peer-reviewed articles through the internet. It is hoped that a culture of research and a degree of professionalism would be promoted in the writing of history by doing this. Since its establishment in 2018, the journal has continuously dedicated itself to fulfilling these objectives.

Since 2018, the journal has published volumes with two issues annually.  It accepts submissions that fall under the discipline of history and its following subfields: Political history, Economic history, Social history, Cultural history, the History of Religion, and Diplomatic History, to name a few. Book reviews are also accepted. Submissions are open to professional historians and people with an interest in historical studies.

 

HOW TO CITE TALA


You can cite an article as you would any academic journal publication. When citing an article as a bibliographical or reference entry, start with the surname of the author, then the first name; title of the article enclosed with quotation marks; name of the journal in italics, TALA; volume number, issue number, month and year of publication; page numbers; and URL of the article.

FREQUENCY OF PUBLICATION


TALA: An Online Journal of History, is set to publish one (1) journal issue every six (6) months.
